Yay! I'm so excited! My cross with the stain glass window was a Featured Top Picks on the Little Red Wagon
Thank you, Little Red Wagon!

 Little Red Wagon

Hello, everyone! It's only been 2 weeks since I've posted my DT project, but for some reason it seems a lot longer! Anyway, I wanted to make something I could hang up in my craft studio. And this Scrapper's Delight  image was perfect for it! I used Script Tease  paper as the background, then I added a layer of Amethyst Metallics, gave it a distressed look and inked it with Tim Holtz peacock feathers. I also used Purple Feather Edge Ribbon from PT. The dark teal rose in the left side is made from the PT Heavy Duty vellum. No, it didn't start out with that color. I used alcohol inks on that to give it the color you see. Be sure to check out the blog every week! Lots of inspiration is there!

See you there!
Blessings, Jeanie - Scrapbookingmamaw
DID I MENTION?......{insert *wink* here}
I'm a Designer with The Scrapoholic Candy Shop??
Why yes...yes I am!

And I'm so excited to be a part of this new group of wonderful people! And there's something to see EVERY DAY! I'll be posting my project every Thursday; however...I'm always around because I don't want to miss ANYTHING! You know?? There's a lot of very talented people out there! And our DT are full of inspiration! So be sure to check out SCS (The Scrapoholic Candy Shop Fan Page)!

So, without further adieu....here is my project using the Latte Collection from SCS:

All the paper and stickers came from Paper Temptress....the little flower was in my stash. Here's the papers: Cryogen White Iridescent (it has a beautiful little sheen to it), Hambly Stickers, and Kraft paper...yes, craft! It gave it the right amount of sturdiness for the flip part of the sentiment.

Enjoy! And don't forget to check out the FB Fan Page

This week the challenge is Anything Goes!
I love Anything Goes...I can let my imagination really go then!

Our sponsor this week is:
Prize: 3 Digital Images

Here is my my project - Mixed Media Canvas:

This week I'm using the Crafty Honey Shopper image. Isn't she adorable?? I had a lot of fun coloring her...of course, I think I say that every time I make a project! What can I say? It's in my blood! I love working with colors.

I used papers from Paper Temptress: Script Tease Amethyst Meltallici,  Heavy Duty vellum. and Purple Feather Edge Ribbon.  The dark colored teal rose was made with the vellum, so I used alcohol inks to color the paper, then I made the flower once the ink was dried. The butterflies are from...where else?? :-) .....Reneabouquets. I wish I could buy a whole slew of those! I'd keep Renea pretty busy then, I'm sure.

I hope you enjoy this project. Please stop by Crafty Gals and join in on the challenge!

Blessings,
Jeanie - Scrapbookingmamaw

This week the challenge is to use the picture as your inspiration for your project....AND to tell us what inspired you about this picture to make it. Isn't it a beautiful picture?

I wanted to do a little something different this time, so I thought a Tussie Mussie would work perfectly for this inspiration picture. I used green POW Glitter Paper as the background, representing the green grass, and covered it with yellow lace. I added yellow and reddish-pink flowers all over the front to represent the flowers. And since yellow seemed to be the dominant color in the picture, I made a Shabby Chic bow and added it to the front. I filled the top of the Tussie in with blue lace (2 colors to represent the shadings of the sky), and then a white lace to represent the clouds. The rest of the embellishments was to give it a more decorative edge.

Please join us in our challenge! With color as your inspiration, you can make anything!

Blessings, Jeanie - Scrapbookingmamaw

It's time for another challenge over at Crafty Gals Corner!

Challenge #64 ~ Easter or Spring (3/23)

Our sponsors this week are:

Robyn's Fetish
Prize: 3 Digital Images

Sami Stamps
Prize: $12 Gift Certificate

Miss Daisy Stamps
Prize: 5 Digital Images

For my image, I chose the Inspirational Cross 1 by Miss Daisy Stamps

I wanted this card to be special, so I decided that I'd make a "stain glass" window for my cross to lay on. I started by using Acetate paper I had in my stash. I made a grid onto the acetate, and colored in the water soluable oil pastels onto the back of the grid, randomly adding various colors. I then took a baby wipe and gently swiped the colors downward, so the colors would blend and become more "glass stain-like". I outlined the grid with a black jounaling pen. I adhered another piece of acetate onto the back of that window to keep it from smearing. I used a template to cut out the oval shape in Paper Temptress Heavenly White #80 cardstock, and outlined that with black also. I layered it on top of paper I had in my stash.

The cross was cut from paper also from Paper Temptress: Glossy Yellow and Cryogen Iridescent White.  I used Diamond Glass Glitter and the butterflies from Reneabouquets. I really had a great time making this card. The acetate really worked for my window. :-D

I hope you join in the challenge! There's a new one every week!

Blessings,
Jeanie, DT - Scrapbookingmamaw

Outlawz Color Challenge for Week of March 22nd!
Would you believe another week has gone by? Isn't it exciting to see all the new creativity each week for color patterns, sketches, palettes....and so much more!!

For this week, it's using the 3 colors in the row you see in this picture below. And then use the twist of Spring or Easter. I chose the Easter theme, and made a cute little basket.

Now Here's my Color Challenge - A Basket

I wanted the colors to be as subtle as possible, without losing the color palette. This basket was so fun and easy to do! But I can't take credit for it. Here is the video link for it: Splitcoaststampers Easter BasketShe did a great job on explaining everything! So, what will you create with this color challenge? And remember to have fun with it!

Hello everyone!  Don't forget about the challenge over at Dreamtime Craft Supplies blog!

Wednesday, March 16, 2016

Hi there, all you wonderful crafters! There's a new challenge going on over at Crafty Gals Corner (#63)! This week's challenge is
Show me the Green!

Our sponsors this week are:
Prize: $10 Gift Certificate

Prize: 3 Digital Images

So let me show you what I did for this challenge:
This is Rory Lucky Clovers. I love the cuteness of this image. It wasn't hard to color, plus with the challenge being "Show Me the Green", I knew exactly what colors to put together. I used cardstock I had in my stash to color her in, and used the POW glitter paper as the background for her The cording around the cord was perfect for this card.

The embellishments were alos in my stash and I printed off the sentiment on the POW paper. Added the jewels, and BOOM! she was done.

I hope you stop by and check out the challenge. Every week there's a new challenge Have fun with it!!

Blessings, Jeanie - Scrapbookingmamaw

Outlawz Color Challenge - Week of March 15th!
Yes, it's that time! I love how each week there's a new and exciting Color Challenge! I'm amazed at how talented everyone is who enter and by the amazing Design Team!

This week, I've decided to do another tag, but I also am going to use it as a layout for St. Patrick's Day. I'll put my 3 grandchildren's picture in it. So, instead of having embellishment on various parts of the layout, it will be one big one!

Here's the Color Challenge for this week: Use green plus two colors in the top picture.

I decided to use Red and Yellow with the Green for my project. I made the shamrocks out of a flower die cut and a lace flower in the top left corner. Below you see the tag, then the tag on a scrapbook layout page.

Be sure to go on over to the Outlawz Blog to join the challenge. I can't wait to see what you create!

Paper Temptress Project
Hello, fellow crafters! Today I want to share with you a tag I made, using all Paper Temptress product (except chipboard). I started with a piece of Basis Olive Cardstock, cut to the size 4 3/4"x 8 1/4". Then I cut out a chipboard tag, 4 1/2"x 8", covered it with Gesso, then added stencil work to that with Ranger Texture Paste. I then used different colors of Glimmermist on different areas, dried that, then sprinkled in various colors of paint or mists. When I got done with that, I glued the chipboard piece to the cardstock. I added a Sassy Design Studio image I won, glossed her up and added Glitter Glass. I had used Cryogen Iridescent White paper to print the image on. See the flower? I used the Heavenly White 80# paper to make that, using a 5 petal punch and ink distressing it with the Lemon Yellow. Of course, the butterflies and some of the Glass Glitter came from Reneabouquets and the red glitter came from Gone Artsy. Here's the rest of the supplies I used, as embellishment pieces to the project: Kendra RibbonSkinny Columns White, and Hambly Overlays.
So, here is the project with a close up of the rose I made from PT paper:

The Tuesday Color Challenge is currently going on over at the Outlawz Blog! (link here). This color challenge is probably one of my favorites! This digital is from All Dressed Up - Springtime.

The Challenge for this week is Tic-Tac-Toe --- 3 in a Row with a Twist, which is add any other in the block. Here is the Tic Tac Toe:

And here is what I did with mine....I did pearls (and yellow), pink, Lace (turquoise), and a little bling. :-)  Please join us for this challenge! We'd love to see what you do!

SPONSOR FOR THE MONTH OF MARCH:

We have a new challenge over at Crafty Gals Corner! This week the challenge is All About the Girls!

Our sponsors this week are:
Prize: 3 Digital Images

Prize: $15 Gift Certficate

Yay! It's all about the girls this week! And while I love doing for the boys...I'm just such a girl that I love working with the girly things, you know what I mean? ;-)  What was my inspiration, you ask? My daughter, Amy! She LOVES Wonder Woman (did I mention she loves Wonder Woman? Well, she sure does!!) So, Superhero Arielle became my digital for the project. And Amy loves to read, so I decided that I'd make her a girly bookmark.

I just cut out a 2"x6" lightweight chipboard piec, ran it through an Emobssing Folder, used wet embossing on the raised portions of the embossing, sprayed various inks on it (Glimmermist), and then decorated with lace and embellishments. Coloring her was a little harder, because, after all...she is for a bookmark. But I was happy with the outcome of it.

Come join us over at the Corner!! You'll be glad you did! (Did that just sound like a commercial? Lol. Well...I do hope you join!!)

My First Dreamtime Craft Supply Project
And First DCS Challenge!

I'm so excited to share with you my first DCS DT Challenge Project for this month's challenge. And I certainly can't wait to see all of yours!

To begin this project, I needed to use 12x12 chipboard and cut out 3 fairly good-sized hearts (each one about 4" in diameter, as I wanted it to be a wall-hanging). I then free-hand cut a "stem". I also cut out a 4" circle so I could hot glue all the pieces together onto that....to give it a foundation.  I used some green acrylic metallic paint on it from my stash and I was going to leave it at that....BUT....as we all know, something about it sometimes just doesn't look right. The color was good, but it just didn't "spark" me. So then the perspiration and inspiration really had to kick into high gear! I figured, why not go ahead and stencil it using the TH Speckles stencil? So I used that and covered it with the Ranger Texture Paste. I sprinkled Stampendous Frantage Shabby White Embossing powder on top of that. Now, as much as it sounds like a LOT of powder, it really isn't. I've had that bottle for a year, at least.

Of course, then I had to dry it with my heat gun. I was kind of surprised at the result and extremely pleased that my green just became a beautiful background to the Shabby White. (All part of being a crafter!) I really got inspired then. I added a rose trim all around the piece, then added in all my embellishments. See the gorgeous butterflies? Those are all handmade by Renea Harrison of Reneabouquets. While I do make some of my own, I am totally blown away by the realism of her butterflies! Then I added the sentiment above, which was ink distressed with TH Black Soot and hot glued on. The tea diecuts is from a set I had in my stash. (I've linked each product I used that you can get from the DCS store, so be sure to check them out! There are lots of items to choose from!)

So there you have it! Now, let's see what beautiful creations you make! Be sure to enter the Challenge Blog (link here).  You might be the winner to our first Challenge Prize which is from Whimsey Stamps!

And....let me encourage you here for a minute...if you've ever thought about trying out for a Design Team, but think you're "just not good enough", go for it anyway! You never know until you try! With that being said, go check out the Dreamtime Craft Supplies, because we're having a DT Call right now! I'm so glad I didn't let my "fear of rejection" stop me from trying. I'm so happy to be a part of it!

Crafty Gals Corner Challenge #61.....It's All About the Boys!
So, for me this can be a real challenge, since I usually do the girly stuff! It just happened to be right on time for my nephews birthday! So instead of making another card, I decided to make a money holder and put some birthday money inside.
Our sponsors this week are:

Prize: 7 Digital Images
Prize: 3 Digital Images

Here is what I used:

Lil Dude Guitar by Bugaboo Stamps

This was actually a lot of fun, and different than what I normally do. My nephew had a birthday today, and while I have birthday cards, I wanted to make his. So I started out with the image, then colored it in with my Prima water soluble oil pastels (new item for me!). I wanted to put him on a white mat, but with a little pizzazz....so I stamped musical bars onto Cryogen White Iridescent paper with Versamark and heat embossed Copper embossing powder onto it. I used Kraft paper from Paper Temptress for the actual money holder, which is cranberry on one side and kraft on the other. Here is the video link to the tutorial on how to make this (It was a Christmas money holder, but I turned it around to fit my need.)  The paper is reversible, which made it perfect for this card. I decided to try spraying the back of my Lil Dude image with spray glue so the whole piece would be adhered to the cover of the holder, and placed him onto the envelope.

I decided I would add various stickers onto the card, because I thought that would make it look more boyish than other embellishments. :-)

I hope you enjoyed this project! Please come join us for some fun with other great crafters!
Blessings, Jeanie - Scrapbookingmamaw
